Our Mission

Our mission is to increase the knowledge and skills of law enforcement professionals by using traffic enforcement as a means to reduce crime, traffic deaths, and injuries in the state of Michigan.

Our Vision

It is the vision of the Traffic Enforcement Association of Michigan to increase awareness of the importance of traffic enforcement to all law enforcement and to provide them with the resources to successfully carry out their traffic programs.

Background

Traffic Enforcement has always been a primary concern for law enforcement officers. Many challenges are brought forth from running effective programs, purchasing and researching new equipment, and implementing standardized processes. Since most enforcement agents in Michigan face similar issues, it was felt that a centralized source would help all of us to become better at our jobs.

The OHSP Law Enforcement Liaisons have volunteered to lead this effort by creating this website and making all the tools available to its members. The goal is to create not just a database of information, but to help advise, consult and provide a network of knowledge for all officers to use.
