Troopers from the Michigan State Police Lakeview post responded to a fire call at a residence at 11159 Gravel Ridge Road in Winfield Township. When the troopers arrived at the scene the house was fully engulfed. |

| 09-13-2008 -- BRIGHTON -- Michigan State Police have turned over a letter threatening presidential nominee Barack Obama to the Secret Service for investigation.
The six-page letter was delivered to Judy Daubenmier, chairwoman of the Livingston County Democratic Party, on Thursday.
It contained information from the Internet -- mostly propaganda smearing Obama -- under a Snopes.com heading, Daubenmier said. Snopes.com is a Web site that debunks urban legends, clears up misinformation and features strange news stories.
